The Association was established in 1970 because of a bequest from the late J.R. Barker, Esq., of Baldina Station Burra. The organization is non-profit making, is administered by a board of management, and is incorporated under the Retirement Villages Act.
Barker Homes provides high quality retirement accommodation at three addresses:
- Chapel Street – 5 Units.
- Commercial Street – 9 Units.
- John Barker Street – 4 Units.
All units offer security of tenure, companionship, personal independence, and a dignified lifestyle.
The units are located close to shops and medical facilities.
Some carports and sheds available.
Lawned areas are fully maintained.
Repairs and maintenance are attended to as required.
